ekstasis (2021) is a 35-minute short film co-directed by Kanya Viljoen and Emilie Badenhorst. It tells the intimate story of a young woman navigating love, loss, and identity. Through a deep connection with her best friend and the unraveling of her parents’ marriage, she explores the tender complexities of intimacy and selfhood.
